rowan takes advantage of bourbon breakdowns to win home opener
PRE-GAME NOTES: Rowan County (0-0-1) has its home opener against Bourbon County (0-1-0) at 7 p.m. The Vikings won at Bourbon 3-2 on 8/14/18. Rowan won last meeting in Morehead 3-0 on 8/15/17. Bourbon won 4-3 at home on 8/16/16. The two teams have met virtually ever year since 2007 with the series record sitting at 4-4-3. Rowan went 10-0 at home last year and sport a 15-game home win streak. The Colonels were 2-2 on the road last season. Four players are sitting out for the Vikings due to KHSAA-mandated suspensions.
