2015 Preseason
1. Russell (11-3) – Senior Jacob McKee and junior Nick Conley each rushed for over 1,000 yards last year and highlight a bevy of returning starters. In coach T.J. Maynard’s first season, the Red Devils advanced all the way to the state semifinals, before falling on the road to eventual state champion Belfry. Russell went 8-1 against regional opponents last fall and won four more games than in 2013. The Red Devils are still a young squad, bolstered by talented sophomore and junior classes. McKee and Conley also excel on a stout defense that includes last year’s top tackler, Seth Holbrook, but the team will have to find a replacement for all-around standout Bronson Korzep.
