That equates to 86 percent of the Boyd County offense and includes 10 starters back from 2015. BCHS reloads every year and this season’s squad is no different. Fourteen seniors dot a roster that includes over 40 players. Both of the Lions’ top scorers from last year return: senior forwards Tanner Evans (12 goals) and Payton Marcum (11 goals, 4 assists), as does senior midfielder Zach McConnell (6 goals, 13 assists). Junior goalkeeper Matthew Ferguson had a solid 2015 campaign in his first year as the starter. Last fall, the Lions finished 8-2-2 at home and 4-2 in games decided by one goal. The program has posted a winning season in each of the last nine years.
