1. East Carter (27-5) – With Ashland graduating the core of its four-time regional championship roster, East Carter finally steps to the forefront. Led by East Tennessee State commitment junior Kristen Mayo at point guard, coach Hager Easterling’s club won a combined 82 games over the last three seasons. The Lady Raiders graduated six key players off last year’s squad, but returns their top two scorers in Mayo (13.5 ppg) and junior shooting guard Haley Hall (13.1 ppg), plus two others who played at least 27 games in 2014-15. The Lady Raiders will again feature a bevy of young talent, which should bolster the impressive starting lineup.
