Coach Max Hammond has strong junior and senior classes, and returns both the leading scorer in junior midfielder Matthew Gagliano (18 goals, 5 assists) and top goalkeeper in senior Conner Barker (1.3 GAA, 7 shutouts). In total, eight starters are back, including Barker who enters his third campaign as a starter. Ten returnees played 21 or more games last season and two others played at least 16. Eleven of those 12 either scored or had an assist last season as well. The Vikings are also used to winning. The current senior class has a 52-21-3 record and has made two state tournaments since 2014. Seniors forward Drew Holbook, forward Vincent Harper and defender Nick Tiedeman; and juniors Zeke Ferguson and Ryan Mullen will reprise their roles from last year. A pair of freshmen, Allen Holbrook and Lucas Hart, also figure prominently into the team’s plans.
